The increasing sophistication of heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems has initiated the demand for industry to hire employees with technical college
degrees. The HVT program prepares students to install, service, and repair refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Many job opportunities exist. Students join the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society
(RSES), a nationally recognized educational certification agency. RSES training materials are used in the classroom, and students can become certified in four RSES areas upon passing the required examinations. Many contractors are RSES members and seek employees with certification.
