This program will prepare graduates to be technicians in the rapidly changing manufacturing industry. Companies of the future will require employees with electrical and mechanical expertise who can install, maintain, operate, modify, and troubleshoot sophisticated and automated equipment.
Students will learn from instructors who are experienced in the workplace. The curriculum includes hands-on learning in college machine shops, electrical and process engineering laboratories, and robotics facilities to ensure that graduates are prepared to move
quickly and directly into industry.
Graduates will be in high demand in all types of production environments or service plants. Industry partners, who have led the development of this program, come from automotive manufacturing, pharmaceutical products, consumer packaging, food and beverage production, power generation, and industrial equipment production and maintenance.
The MAR program is located at the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) in Mexico, MO. Students will take general education classes through Moberly Area Community College (MACC).
