The NCJRS is a wide-ranging database that will answer almost any question that one may have about crime, justice-related research, policy, and practice.  This web site offers a variety of different topics including corrections, court, drugs and crime, international, stats, and victims of crime. It also has the option of reviewing a full text report of various topics.  With all of these options available to users, the NCJRS is one of the most extensive criminal and juvenile justice databases in the world.

The Missouri Census Data Center is an online partnership between the Office of the Secretary of State and the U.S. Bureau of the Census.  Together, these two sections allow access to more than 2,000 public machine readable data files and numerous printed reports.

If a patron is researching recent or past events on a specific area or city, NewsBank is the first place to look.  NewsBank is a database that allows patrons access to approximately 500 of America's top newspapers.  NewsBank's database is set up for easy use, which allows for a quick and successful searching.
 

"The Occupational Outlook Handbook is a nationally recognized source of career information, designed to provide valuable assistance to individuals making decisions about their future work lives. The Handbook is revised every two years.

PUBMED
Pub Med is a web site that allows patrons to view bibliographic information with ease.  A few of these links include MEDLINE and OLDMEDLINE.  Pub Med also includes citations from MEDLINE journals, along with general science and chemistry journals.  Some of the full text articles that Pub Med offers receive a qualitative review by the National Library of Medicine.
